Harry Endicott joined Texas Tech as an associate director of athletics communications in August of 2019. He handles publicity efforts for the Texas Tech Lady Raider basketball and tennis teams.
Endicott arrived at Tech following stops at Oklahoma State, Oregon and most recently Wyoming, where he served as the primary communications contact for the school’s wrestling, volleyball and women’s golf teams.
Prior to Wyoming, Endicott served for two years as a graduate assistant at Oklahoma State, and was the communications coordinator for the Cowboy wrestling and Cowgirl tennis programs. He earned his master’s degree in mass communications/sports media in 2018.
In 2015-16, Endicott spent a year at Oregon as a communications intern, primarily handling responsibilities with the Ducks’ 2016 men’s golf national championship team, as well as the lacrosse, women’s tennis, and acrobatics & tumbling programs. During his time in Eugene, he also assisted as the secondary contact for the Oregon men’s basketball team, and served as the host media contact at the 2016 NCAA Men’s Golf Championships at Eugene Country Club.
Born in Oklahoma City, Endicott graduated with his bachelor’s degree in sports management from Oklahoma State in 2015. He served as a student intern in the OSU athletics communications office all four of his years as an undergrad. During his years as a student, he was the primary communications contact for the OSU women’s tennis and equestrian programs. As a senior, he was the secondary contact for the Cowboy basketball program.
Endicott has benefitted greatly from his time in the OSU sports media program, thanks to the direction from the first-class professors and classes the program offers. His experience in the program was extremely helpful in finding jobs after graduation. His advice for future students in the program is to be as involved as possible, do whatever you can to build up work experience in the industry, and make professional relationships and networking a priority.
