Each summer, Oklahoma State hosts a four-day, on-campus Sports Media Camp for high school students interested in working in the sport communication industry. The OSU Sports Media Camp is directed by OSU Sports Media faculty member Dave Hunizker, the official voice of the OSU Cowboys, with other OSU Sports Media faculty serving as camp instructors.
Camp attendees attain practical experience in broadcasting play-by-play, sport media production, sports reporting fundamentals and sports writing. Aspiring sports media professionals have come from all over the country to attend this camp, with many eventually enrolling in the OSU Sports Media program.
