Robbie Crauder

Robbie Crauder is the Head of Mobile Content for Yahoo Sports.

He grew up in Stillwater, Oklahoma where his dad Bruce has taught at the university for 33 years. He grew up a poke and still represents OSU daily in California with his black/orange ride with OKST8TE plates. Went to high school in Pennsylvania (Westtown School) and then went to a liberal arts college for 2 years. Where he was a two-sport athlete at a D3 school before transferring into Oklahoma State for sports media. Crauder was fortunate to go from graduating at OSU to working for Turner Sports, NFL, BuzzFeed and Yahoo Sports. He's been the head of social media for Yahoo Sports, a producer/editor for the NFL, a post-production editor at BuzzFeed and an intern for NCAA.com.

The sports media program at OSU gave him opportunities that he couldn’t have gotten anywhere else. "With the Thunder, OSU, OU and Tulsa all needing crews to work events that opens the door for students to get on the job training." At the end of his tenure he had worked the ABC studio show for the NBA Finals and the Super Bowl in Dallas with the NFL Network. Entering the workplace Crauder realized quickly how many more skills he and so many others were able to learn and also the opportunities that were afforded. The professors really set you up for the workplace and how to be true professionals. They really care about growth of the student as well as the person.

Crauder leaves you with this advice: "If you have any interest in sports media come to OSU and jump in headfirst. You’ll learn all types of media and the professors will be hands-on in helping guide you. I thought I would be an on-air commentator based off my personality but the joy I got from editing for Dr. Mac led me in a different direction. It truly is a journey and they give you the tools and guidance to get you where you want to be."
