Anthony Slater is the Golden State Warriors and NBA reporter for The Athletic
Anthony grew up in Rohnert Park, a decent sized town in Northern California. He attended Sonoma State out of high school, pretty unsure of his career path. It was boring there. He gave up on his baseball career and started writing about sports as a hobby. He fell in love with it. So he did what most would: Google'd. "I was in search of a college that specialized in sports media. Oklahoma State was one of the few that popped up. It's the most important piece of information Google has ever delivered to me. OSU's journalism school was like a trampoline for my career, presenting incredible experience, inside and outside of the classroom, sharpening my skills at a rapid pace and opening doors to The Oklahoman. That's where I interned twice. Because of it, they gave me a beat job covering the Thunder at age 23. Seven years later, I'm in my seventh year covering NBA basketball."
