A native of Rockwall, Texas, Hearn is currently a student worker for Oklahoma State University
Brand Management as the Inside OSU Podcast host and producer. She began her media journey
during her freshman year working for OStateTV as a camera operator and on-air talent. Hearn
has gained more media experience throughout her time on campus. During her junior year, she
interned with Oklahoma State Athletics as a communications intern, and was an anchor and
reporter for the Poke Report. The summer before her senior year, Hearn interned with Fox
Sports Southwest and the Frisco RoughRiders Baseball team. During her senior year, Hearn
anchored The Poke Report and was the sports anchor for the OState Report. With OSU and
SMSC, Hearn is the president of the National Association of Black Journalists on campus.
“I’m so happy I chose to come to Oklahoma State. SMSC has provided me with so many tools to
help me succeed in my career. I wouldn’t be where I am today if it wasn’t for OSU and my
media professors.”
